Stephen Colbert to Resume Taping Report Tomorrow

After suspending production last Wednesday, Stephen  Colbert & Co. are set to resume taping The Colbert Report tomorrow, Comedy Central’s website confirms.

A rep for the network told E! News that production was suspended “due to  unforeseen circumstances,” but reports have suggested that Colbert took a break  from filming because his 91-year-old mother Lorna is “seriously ill.” (more…)

Less than a week after X Factor creator/judge Simon Cowell admitted he had considered Whitney Houston for the show prior to her death, another diva has entered the fray. Reports have emerged that Janet Jackson may be taking one of the seats Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger vacated earlier this year. Jackson has neither issued a confirmation nor denial yet, but she is scheduled to appear on Monday’s episode of Anderson and, from the looks of a preview, doesn’t seem closed off to the possibility. HLN host Nancy Grace staunchly defended controversial comments she recently made regarding the death of superstar Whitney Houston.

Houston, who died on Saturday, was found in the bathtub of her room at the Beverly Hilton hotel. While reporting live from Los Angeles, Grace appeared on CNN on Monday and said she wanted to know, “who let [Whitney Houston] slip, or pushed her, underneath that water?” She added, “Apparently, no signs of force or trauma to the body.
