With Casey Anthony’s lawyers arguing that Florida is too dangerous for her, a judge decided she may stay away from Orlando temporarily.
Judge Belvin Perry set a hearing Friday on the defense’s emergency request to vacate an order by another judge that Anthony report to Orlando this week.
After her controversial acquittal on murder charges in daughter Caylee’s death, Anthony was releasedfrom jail and immediately went into hiding, though she apparently was photographed recently in Ohio.
But Anthony was told to be in Orlando between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Thursday to be processed for her supervised probation in the check case.
Last year, she admitted to using a friend’s checkbook to buy clothes and groceries in the weeks after her 2-year-old daughter Caylee disappeared.
The judge in the check case who ordered Anthony’s return has since stepped down and was replaced by the murder-trial judge, Perry.
