Ponchos Come Back In Style At Paris Fashion Show

Ponchos Come Back In Style At Paris Fashion Show

Don’t be surprised if you start seeing Clint Eastwood lookalikes posing in your favorite fashion magazines. It seems the trendy brand Hermés has reinstituted the “poncho” look at their most recent runway show.

This past Monday, several Paris models strutted down the catwalk in fringed capes inspired by the garments of South America. Fashion critics were thrilled to see the designs, saying they had the “fierceness of a matador.”

And Hermés honcho Christophe Lemaire was very open about his Hispanic inspirations. He even spent time in Argentina to rework the perfect poncho style for his legendary brand.

After the roaring applause, Lemaire promised more interesting South American designs to come. And he did not seem intimidated about adopting a clothing style that’s hundreds of years old.

“We are timeless!” he proudly proclaimed.

Priceless may be a good word to describe them too. Because if we know anything about the Hermés collections, it’s that they’re definitely not cheap!
