Snooki’s changing her ways. No, really, she is!
The “Jersey Shore” star, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, chatted with “Good Morning America” correspondent Juju Chang in an interview, which aired Monday, about her pregnancy and how she’s left her hard-partying ways behind her.
“Obviously, no drinking, none whatsoever,” Snooki said. “I’m scared to even have caffeine. My friends were like, ‘You can have a glass of wine’ and I’m like no, I refuse. I’m going to be that person who has a glass of wine and [the baby]comes out with three legs.”
A stone-cold sober Snooki is a far cry from the party girl we’ve seen fist-pumping her way from one nightclub to the next, and these days she says she prefers to avoid the drinking scene altogether.
“I just don’t like to be around people who drink because then I’ll be like, ‘Cool, I miss it,’” she admitted.
Another vice she’s given up during pregnancy? Spray tanning.
“I use bronzer on my legs,” she said. “I’m actually embracing the paleness that’s coming along with it. It’s kind of a new look.”
She may have ditched alcohol, spray tans and the infamous “Jersey Shore” party house — she’s living next door while filming the reality show’s sixth season — but there’s one thing she won’t give up until she has to: High heels.
“I feel confident in them, and I know I’m not going to fall, so until it feels very uncomfortable, I’m still going to rock them,” Snooki said. “I’m only 24 and I’m pregnant — it doesn’t mean I need to be wearing flats and ugly shoes. I can still look good.”
And then comes the question of what she’ll tell her children when they are old enough to Google her name or catch re-runs of her now-infamous MTV antics.
“I’m just going to show them myself and say, ‘This is what Mommy did, learn from her mistakes,’” she said. “And they can take it or leave it.
Snooki announced in March that she’s engaged to her boyfriend, Jionni LaValle, and that they will become parents for the first time later this year when they welcome a bouncing baby boy.
“I have different priorities now,” Snooki told Us Weekly when announcing her pregnancy. “I don’t care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I’m ready and he’s ready.”
