What’s up, raza cósmica! Can you imagine a Spider-Man 4 directed by Sam Raimi and starring your favorite Spidey, Tobey Maguire? ¡Eso es una bomba! As a hardcore fan of Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, your boy Zay Zay almost dropped his churro when these rumors hit the web (pun intended, ya sabes).

Last week, in the whirlwind of the Hollywood rumor mill, word was spreading like salsa on tortilla chips about a Ppossible Spider-Man 4 directed by Sam Raimi and starring our buddy, Tobey Maguire. The same charismatic duo that gave us three unforgettable films full of acción, amor and moral dilemmas. ¡Qué emoción!

But hey, antes que te emociones mucho, let’s slow down. It seems like the trenches might not be as surefire as we thought. Raimi himself poined out that while he has read rumors about Spider-Man 4, he made it pretty clear that he’s not working on it just yet, and hasn’t chatted with Tobey about it either. This quashes the rumor faster than you can say “El Hombre Araña”!

¿Si No Habló con Tobey, quién sabe que Pasará?

It’s all just chisme, not solid like abuela’s sopita de fideo. So even though he isn’t officially working on Spider-Man 4, we’re hoping the rumors might inspire something. ¿Sabes que? Maybe this is just a señal, un mensaje from the universe that it’s about time for these two to join forces once again and give us another amazing Spider-Man movie! (We’re looking at you, Sam & Tobey).

Until we get official word, we’ll keep our hopes as high as the tallest skyscraper in Nueva York, ready for Spider-Man to swing between them. And if by some miracle it happens, esperamos que sea tan chido as the first three movies!

Keep in mind queridos, even though we love to dream about a future where Tobey is suiting up again, let’s keep our expectations kept in a nice, tight web of realities. Remember to take these rumors with a grain of salt, or in our case, a dash of chili powder and lime. As your friendly neighborhood Zay Zay would say, “nada es seguro hasta que es seguro.”
