The audience at this renowned venue will enjoy a special presentation of REY RUIZ AND HIS new album “Insuperable,” a captivating staging of big band music that fuses the jazz-based style with Ruiz’s unmistakable sonic stamp.
It’s a project that also showcases his tremendous artistic versatility, as it marks the first time that he has explored this time-honored style and successfully makes it his own.
Produced by Ruiz himself with José Aguirre, and mixed and mastered by acclaimed engineer Humberto Gatica, “Insuperable” has garnered thousands of worldwide streams to date thanks to its refreshing tropical-laced traditional arrangements that serve as the perfect backdrop for a selection of timeless global standards that include Ricardo Ceratto’s “El amor es libre” (Argentina), José Alfredo Jiménez’s “Corazón Corazón” (Mexico), and Nat “King” Cole’s “Smile” (United States).
