Thieves Raid Deceased Peaches Geldof's Family Home TWICE Since She Died 2

Sick thieves have raided tragic Peaches Geldof’s family home TWICE since she died.

The mum-of-two died aged 25 on April 7 at the idyllic country home in Kent she shared with husband Tom Cohen.

But just one week later, burglars stole a red ride-on lawnmower from the grounds of the million-pound detached house in Wrotham, Kent.

A picture of Peaches and Tom perched on the mower with their two sons Astala, 2, and Phaedra, 1, was one of the prized treasures of her dad, Sir Bob Geldof.

Then on Friday last week, thieves targeted the family’s five-bedroom home AGAIN.

Police officers raced to the scene within five minutes of being called and it is thought that nothing was taken.

It is understood the second raid was carried out after intruders damaged CCTV equipment at the house.

Last night spokesman for Kent police said: “Police are investigating a burglary at an address in Wrotham, on 9 May.

“Officers were at the address within five minutes and no personal items are believed to have been stolen.

“Additionally, in mid-April a lawnmower was reported to have been taken from the grounds.”

It was reported last month that Peaches’ heartbroken husband Tom, 23, was planning to sell their home.

Tom was said to be too upset to return after her death and wants to put it in the market once police have finished their investigations.

It is thought Tom wants to move to south-east London to be nearer his parents Keith and Sue.

An inquest held earlier this month found that heroin was ‘likely’ to have played a part in Peaches’ death.

The inquest heard husband Tom found her dead in a spare room with the Class A drug in her system.

Police have said they are hunting for the drug dealer who supplied heroin to Peaches, but said they are not treating her husband as a suspect.

In recent years, Peaches was said to have taken a step back from her party lifestyle for a more peaceful life as a mum in the Kent countryside.

Neighbours of Peaches and Tom in Wrotham told how they had become a perfect family happy to blend into the background of country life.

Martin Coffin, a local councillor, said last month: “They were beginning to get themselves established and were just starting to build a family home.

“Even though they lived right at the end of our drive, we didn’t know them that well. They seemed to live a fairly quiet life and we probably only saw them half a dozen times in the six months they have been here.”

Crime rates in Wrotham are generally low – in March this year there were just two burglaries out of a total of 15 reported crimes according to official police figures.

A spokesperson for the Geldof family could not be reached for comment last night.
