Dumb Money es la historia definitiva de David contra Goliat, basada en la alocada historia real de personas comunes y corrientes que cambiaron la estrategia en Wall Street y se hicieron ricas al convertir a GameStop (sí, la tienda de videojuegos del centro comercial) en la compañía más popular del mundo. En medio de la situación se encuentra un tipo normal llamado Keith Gill (Paul Dano), quien comienza todo invirtiendo los ahorros de toda su vida en acciones y publicando lo que hizo. Cuando sus publicaciones en las redes sociales comienzan a explotar y a hacerse virales, también lo hace su vida y la de todos los que lo siguen. A medida que una sugerencia sobre acciones se convierte en un movimiento, todos se enriquecen, hasta que los multimillonarios contraatacan y ambas partes descubren que sus mundos están totalmente trastocados.

Dumb Money is the ultimate David vs. Goliath tale, based on the insane true story of everyday people who flipped the script on Wall Street and got rich by turning GameStop (yes, the mall videogame store) into the world’s hottest company. In the middle of everything is regular guy Keith Gill (Paul Dano), who starts it all by sinking his life savings into the stock and posting about it. When his social posts start blowing up, so does his life and the lives of everyone following him. As a stock tip becomes a movement, everyone gets rich – until the billionaires fight back, and both sides find their worlds turned upside down.
