Los Angeles, CA (May 4, 2023) – The ever-evolving Alaina Castillo comes back after months of teasing her fans on social media with a new Latin dance track, “éxtasis” via Chosen People/ AWAL. Castillo returns with longtime collaborator and Grammy-nominated producer, RØMANS (Maluma, Billie Eilish, Labrinth, Fred Again, etc.) to further solidify Alaina’s unique sound and creating a lane of dance music in Spanish. Today, Alaina made her Despierta America debut and gave the audience an exclusive live performance of the song on the highly regarded morning show.

This is the first track off her upcoming Latin dance EP that will tackle themes ranging from love, self-sabotage, to healing and self-confidence. “éxtasis is a song about having a weakness when it comes to one person because they make you feel like the highest version of yourself,” Castillo states on the first single from the upcoming EP.  Alongside the track comes a supporting music video showcasing a warehouse rave in which Alaina shines with choreography, lights, and more under the direction of JA Moreno (Camila Cabello, Becky G, Farruko) and choreography of Kasi Kirkpatrick (Pharrell Williams, Son Little).

Alaina Castillo has been on the rise obtaining notable accomplishments under her belt in the past year. In 2022, Castillo made a successful debut at Coachella and quickly after she opened for Coldplay alongside H.E.R., in Alaina’s hometown, Houston, TX. In addition, Alaina successfully wrapped up touring with singer-songwriter Alexander 23 on his Aftershock Tour where she performed tracks from her 2022 EP fantasies.
