Juan Pablo Vega, Artist of Julio Reyes Copello’s Independent Label, Arthouse Records, receives nomination as Best New Artist
Miami (September 24th 2014) – The Latin Recording Academy announced today the nominations for the 15th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards on LatinGRAMMY.com and through a video on their social networking platform, Twitter. Julio Reyes Copello received six nominations in the categories of Record of the Year for his work as composer and co-producer of Marc Anthony’s hit “Cambio de Piel,” Album of the Year as composer and co-producer of Marc Anthony’s 3.0, Song of the Year for his work as a composer of “Cambio de Piel,” by Marc Anthony, and Best Salsa Album as co-producer for the same album.
In addition, Juan Pablo Vega, Reyes Copello’s first artist from his independent label Art House Records, received a nomination as Best New Artist for his album, Nada Personal.
This is the first time in the history of the Latin GRAMMY that the Latin Recording Academy announces its nominees online thus allowing celebrities and music fans worldwide to participate first-hand in the announcement. On this day of social interaction, fans are welcome to tweet messages of congratulations to the artists nominated by the official Latin GRAMMY hashtag #LatinGRAMMY.
Maestro Julio Reyes Copello was the grand winner at the Latin GRAMMY ceremony in 2013, earning three awards for his work with Alejandro Sanz, Kanny Garcia and Marc Anthony.
The 15th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Thursday, November 20th, and will air in the United States on the Univision Network at 8 PM ET/ 7 PM Central.
