The Academy Awards are just a few short weeks away, and that means some major swag for the nominees, as the 2016 Oscars gift bag reportedly contains $200,000 worth of swag. Each year, the bag is assembled by Distinctive Assets, “a Los Angeles based niche marketing company offering celebrity placement, product introduction and branding opportunities” for countless celebs within the industry. To that end, it’s not a big shock that the company would go so far out of its way to take care of the celebrities that could one day become their clients, but it is a bit surprising to see just how far Distinctive Assets truly goes.
Among the products in this year’s Oscars gift bag are…
-One 10-day, first-class trip to Israel
-One year of unlimited Audi car rentals from Silvercar
-Three private training sessions with “celebrity wellness expert” Jay Cardiello
-Haze Dual V3 Vaporizer
-Ultherapy laser skin-tightening procedure
-Lifetime supply of skin creams from Lizora
-Fit Club TV “Ultimate Fitness Package” in a private villa
-Voucher for a Vampire Breast Lift, which uses “blood-derived growth factors to revive rounder cleavage without implants.”
This is absolute madness, particularly the trip to Israel and the unlimited Audi rentals (seriously, it’s no small thing to have an Audi). But the most buzzworthy thing here is the Vampire Breast Lift, which is apparently being touted as the hot new “must have” in Hollywood. So if this becomes the next big thing in cosmetic surgery, Distinctive Assets probably wants to be on the ground floor of this craze. Can’t say I blame them. With that said, I honestly think last year’s Oscars had the better gift bag overall, if only for how outrageous it was. Seriously, a three-night stay in Tuscany, a $250 vibrator, and mind control lessons?! As if it’s not already cool enough to be nominated for an Oscar.
Be sure to tune into the 88th Academy Awards on Sunday, February 28 at 7:00 PM ET on ABC.
