It’s many girls’ teenage dream to have their favorite cosmetics brand want to collaborate with them. And for 17-year-old singer Lorde, that dream is about to become a reality: She’s collaborating with MAC on a makeup line set to debut this summer.
“I have loved MAC cosmetics since I was a little kid,” the Grammy winner says in a statement. “I remember saving up to buy my very first MAC lipstick [Snob] at 14, and it was used by about 20 of my friends! MAC has a very clear aesthetic that has always felt fashion forward to me. So I was really excited to work with them on these products, which I use pretty much every day and night. I hope you will too.”
Lorde has been working with MAC makeup artist Amber Dreadon for her current tour beauty looks (see a sketch below), and she also collaborated with Dreadon for this year’s Grammys (where she wore the line’s “Heroine” and “Cyber”) and Brit Awards. And we bet we can expect some super-cool dark lipstick shades in her upcoming collection, as well as some smoky shadows and hopefully some kind of new brow wand that will give us the singer’s amazing arches.
