The Beatles' 51 Year Record Has Just Been Beaten By Justin Bieber

The Beatles have had the most songs land on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in the same week for the past 51 years — until the Biebs came along.

Justin Bieber recently had 17 songs make Billboard’s Dec. 5 Hot 100 chart in a single week, beating out The Beatles’ record of 14 songs, which they broke in 1964. Drake was the first to match The Beatles’ record this past March and again in October, Billboard reported — but Bieber is the first to surpass it.

Bieber’s glory does not end there.

The 21-year-old’s latest album, “Purpose,” is currently No. 1 on Billboard’s Dec. 5 200 chart — making this his sixth No. 1 album on Billboard 200.

“Purpose” has a track list that includes “Sorry” and “Love Yourself,” which are among the 17 songs responsible for Bieber’s Beatles-record-breaking moment.
