Start sending out the wedding invitations (via raven, of course)—Sophie Turner is engaged! Yes, Joe Jonas has popped the question to the Game of Thrones star, and her brand new engagement ring could rule all seven kingdoms. It’s that gorgeous…
Sorry ladies of the early oughts, your former teen heartthrob is officially off the market. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have been dating for the past year, giving us little peeks into their too-cute relationship on Instagram or when they’re showing some subtle PDA while out and about in Los Angeles. They even adopted a Siberian Husky together last month!
Now, these puppy parents are making it official! The couple just announced their engagement via a matching pair of engagement ring selfies on Instagram.
“I said yes,” wrote the actress on the ‘Gram, captioning the photo of her blinding bling. In the pic, Turner and Jonas are hand-in-hand as Turner’s new engagement ring shines bright like a (literal) diamond on her finger.
The ring appears to be a pear-shaped, megawatt diamond on a double band, studded with stones.
The former Jonas Brother posted the same sweet snapshot to his own Instagram page, captioning the pic, “She said yes.”
So now it seems that we’ll be celebrating two Westeros weddings! Just last month, Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie also broke the news of their engagement with a formal announcement in London’s The Times newspaper. “The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire,” read the forthcoming marriages section of the paper.
Harington later joked that he told the Game of Thrones producers that the show has to shut down for his wedding so everyone would be able to attend. (Harington and his bride did meet on set, after all.) “I was like, ‘You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding, by the way.’ [The cast] have all got to be there, so the whole thing has got to shut down,” he said, according to The Sun.
Now, it looks like there’ll be two days-off for those Game of Thrones producers to factor into the schedule—unless Jon Snow and Sansa Stark opt to combine and conquer. Double wedding anyone?
