On the heels of Bruce Jenner’s revelatory 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer, E! has confirmed that the Kardashian papa will indeed be featured in his own docuseries chronicling his life as a transgender woman.
The eight-part, one-hour series has yet to be given an official title, but it will premiere July 26 at 9 p.m. on E!, and will air on E! channels internationally.
According to E!, the series will explore Bruce’s transition and subsequent search for his “new normal,” and also show how the transition impacts those closest to him, aka Kris Jenner and their combined families. There were rumors that the family might be going in this documentary/new show direction for Bruce’s journey, and it sounds like they are on board for this brave new world.
“Bruce is incredibly courageous and an inspiration, and we are proud to be entrusted with this deeply personal and important story,” said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President of Programming and Development at E! “This series will present an unfiltered look as Bruce boldly steps into uncharted territory and is true to himself for the first time.”
During his interview with Diane Sawyer last night, Bruce revealed, “For all intents and purposes, I am a woman.”
