As we approach a heated presidential election, there’s been a lot of talk about what makes a great president. It turns out that Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, had it all figured out. If you want to get young people into politics, pick up an ax and start hunting down vampires!
In “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,” the big screen adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel by the same name, Honest Abe (Benjamin Walker) discovers that vampires are, in fact, real. When he becomes president, Lincoln discovers that vampires in the South are planning to enslave the entire country, so he makes it his personal mission to eliminate them.
In clip above, Abe takes the train to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, but before he can deliver his Gettysburg Address, he has to kill a few vampires first.
“Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,” which is directed by Timur Bekmambetov (“Wanted”) and produced by macabre extraordinaire Tim Burton, hits theaters on June 22.
