Adam Rodriguez, the Cuban and Puerto Rican actor who plays Eric Delko on CSI: Miami, will be taking on a delicate subject as a writer and director of an episode set to air in March.
This will be the second time Rodriguez takes on these production roles as he wrote and directed an episode last season, which was filled with a footchase and action sequences. This time, however, he is dealing with the issue of child molestation.
TVLine.com reports that executive producer Marc Dube says that “with all the Penn State stuff going on” this subject matter “is kind of a headline these days, but it’s a topic we’re going to try to tackle with our people.”
Dube has faith that Rodriguez can translate this hot button issue to the small screen. “And because it is a sticky topic, if anybody can communicate that to the actors, it’s Adam,” Dube continues. “He’s quite familiar with the process and how to get performances out of people, because it’s what he does [as an actor], so I think he’s a good person to pull it off.”
