Singer-songwriter Adriana Lucia received today two nominations for the 13th annual Premios Shock Tigo of Colombia under the categories of Best Album of the Year for Porro Hecho en Colombia and Best Solo Artist. Fans can vote through November 30 on www.shock.co.
Adriana Lucia, who was recently chosen as Messenger of Humanity by the United Nations, released three months ago her sixth album titled Porro Hecho en Colombia, a live-recorded album composed of a CD/ DVD including a Movie-Documentary. This is the result of years of work that seeks to make the invisible visible thus exalting a region as an example of other regions of the country. This visual work and music make evident the use of Porro as a peaceful lifestyle and as a tool incorporated by the artist to narrate the stories of her songs.
This CD / DVD makes part of the celebration of her 15th year of musical career; a solid project that is making history. Award-winning Jose Gaviria produced the album in the Attic Center of Javeriana University in Bogota. It contains 15 tracks in total: seven unreleased, 1 cover and 7 hits like “Enamórate como yo,” “Llegaste tu,” “Quiero que te quedes,” among others. Recorded under the independent label 21 Sunshine / El Carito Music and with the support of the governor of Cordoba, some municipalities and private companies of the region, Porro Hecho En Colombia was the number-one purchased album during its first week of digital sales (iTunes).
