She dreamed a dream and it’s come true — Anne Hathaway is a mom!
The Oscar-winning actress gave birth to her first child with husband Adam Shulman, a boy, in Los Angeles on March 24. The baby’s name: Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman.
“The baby is extremely healthy and is surrounded by friends and family in L.A.,” a source tells E! News. “Anne and Adam are ecstatic to be parents.”
Reports first surfaced of Anne’s pregnancy in late November 2015, and by December, she was already flaunting her baby bump (as we, meanwhile, were oohing and aahing over her maternity style).
The 33-year-old even kicked off the new year with a bikini baby bump shot, because she figured she’d rather share it herself than have the paparazzi beat her to it. Good thinking, Anne!
Happy 2016 to my beautiful Instafriends! So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed. I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter 🙂 Wishing you love, light and blessings for the year ahead! ⚡️?Annie?⚡️
The following month, Anne posted a selfie on Oscar night of herself, her baby bump, and her Oscar, wishing all the nominees good luck. Anne won the Best Supporting Actress trophy in 2013 for her role in Les Miserables.
Now that the baby has arrived, we already know what the new mom’s first project post-maternity leave will be: Princess Diaries 3!

Director Garry Marshall revealed he and Anne have discussed the threequel, and “it looks like we are going to do it.” The film will take place in Manhattan, though it’s not known yet whether Julie Andrews and/or Chris Pine will reprise their roles from the first two films.
Anne is now a first-time mama and about to be a third-time princess?! We guess life is pretty great!
