Big Boi’s big tour plans came to a halt this week.

The 38-year-old rapper is postponing tour dates on account of an injury he sustained during a recent show. Born Antwan André Patton, Big Boi was playing a show in Illinois last week when he injured his knee onstage.

In the days following the injury, Big Boi canceled a show in St. Louis, citing the need to undergo tests. A representative for the rapper told MTV, “Currently on his headlining Shoes For Running tour, rapper Big Boi of Outkast has injured his leg while performing yesterday forcing him to cancel his St. Louis show today. Currently going through testing, Big Boi apologizes to his St. Louis fans for canceling the show.”

The Outkast alum is now postponing more shows to undergo surgery for a torn patella, Billboard reports. While the tour dates have yet to be rescheduled on Big Boi’s official website, he is reportedly out for six weeks. The rapper’s tour partner, Killer Mike, took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce that the shows will be pushed back to September.
