Madrid, Spain (March 6, 2020) – Spain’s, Biznaga releases their highly-anticipated album, ‘Gran Pantalla’ today, Friday, March 6 (Slovenly Recordings). For the first time, Biznaga analyze and break the 12 songs in the album study of the same theme: the myth of Narcissus in full 2k20, where we all carry the mirror in our pocket.
“‘Gran Pantalla’ is a break with the way we had conceived the composition of a record so far. It is not a set of washed out songs, which only work independently of each other. On this occasion there is a thematic unit that it relates (‘conceptual disk’ they called it in ancient times) and, without forgetting that kind of natural selection that makes some songs end up imposing themselves on others, these also function as a ‘whole’, being precisely in that ‘everything’, where they reach its maximum expression The idea / concept / theme that motivates that ‘everything’ is the only one capable of phagocytizing the rest: the Screen, but what do we talk about when we talk about the Screen? Actually, everything else: from where (we are), a when (we are), a how (we are) and a why (we are) We speak of a mirror that captures and transforms what it reflects, that simulates the entire universe, giving it a new meaning for us to inhabit it How We talk about the Screen, we talk about God,” Biznaga commented about the new album.
Gran Pantalla was recorded and mixed by Raúl Pérez in La Mina (Seville) and mastered again by Tim Warren. The album has received praise from the media with the band appearing on the cover of the infamous Spanish magazine, Route 66 publication.
