It looks like it’s going to be a bumpy ride to the Michael Forever concert. Set to take place right in the middle of the Conrad Murray trial, the Michael Jacksontribute show has been mired with slow ticket sales, family arguments, and now a no-show from the Black Eyed Peas!
Fergie and company officially pulled out of the event and have yet to give a clear reason. According to their management, the Peas will no longer be performing “due to unavoidable circumstances.” What exactly does that even mean?
Perhaps the expected low turnout may have something to do with it. Set to happen this weekend in Wales, the concert has yet to sell out and has been building very little buzz on Facebook and Twitter. Even Michael’s family is at odds about attending.
So far, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, and a host of others are still expected to perform. But for all you die-hard MJ fans out there, you may be better off saving your money for his Vegas Cirque du Soleil show.
