Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Returning To 'The Voice' Despite Divorce Announcements

Artists Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani seem to be dealing well with their respective failed marriages as they returned to the sets of the hit NBC reality series “The Voice” to shoot Season 9 Battle Rounds, Us Weekly reported Wednesday. Shelton filed for divorce from Miranda Lambert in late July, after four years of marriage, while Stefani filed last week for a divorce from Gavin Rossdale, after being married to him for 13 years.

“Gwen seems sad,” an eyewitness on the set told Us Weekly. Stefani had cited irreconcilable differences with musician Rossdale, with whom she has three sons — Kingston, 9, Zuma, 6, and Apollo, 17 months. The couple was reportedly unhappy for a long time and the 45-year-old “Baby Don’t Lie” singer filed the divorce papers last week.

“It only looks sudden, but everything was worked out months ago so paperwork could be filed and the marriage could be ended quickly and easily,” a source told the Mirror, referring to Stefani and Rossdale’s divorce, adding: “Things were rocky before then but they tried to make the marriage work. But it just couldn’t. A lot of the feeling was gone.”

The source, also cited in the Wednesday report, said, according to Us Weekly: “Blake, on the other hand, seems to have moved on from Miranda and is just over it,” adding: “Neither Blake nor Gwen are wearing their rings.”

An insider told Us Weekly earlier about how the former couple was dealing with the divorce. “There are no hard feelings,” the insider reportedly said, adding: “They want to move on as friends, and they are doing just that.”

Shelton and Lambert jointly announced their divorce amid cheating allegations against both of them. However, infidelity was not mentioned as a reason for their split in a statement that said:

“This is not the future we envisioned,” adding: “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
