Brad Pitt’s ‘World War Z’ Film Raided By Counter-terrorism Officials

Brad Pitt‘s zombie flick World War Z is already over the budget and now the Hungarian government has just made things worse. The set was raided by the Hungarian Counter-terrorism police, which confiscated a huge stash of guns meant for use on the zombie flick.

The cache had nearly 100 weapons, including AK-47s, sniper rifles, machine guns and pistols, and even live ammo! Hungarian authorities told the press that their raid was perfectly legal as the weapons for World War Z had not been disabled as they are supposed to be and could be used to fire the live ammunition. The weapons were confiscated and the case is under investigation.

Janos Hajdu, head of Hungary’s Counter-terrorism Center, said Tuesday the weapons arrived from London to Budapest’s Ferenc Liszt Airport on Saturday and were discovered at a nearby duty free zone.

Adam Goodman, whose company works in the production of the film, declined to comment on the links between the seized weapons and the movie.

“We are preparing as planned. We are not changing our schedule”, he said.

A publicist for the film was quick to issue a statement.

“We are working with the authorities to resolve the matter and have no further comment at this time.”
