Britney Spears And Iggy Azalea Debut "Pretty Girls": Watch The Performance

Oops, she did it again. Britney Spears is back in the hit-making zone with the release of the new Iggy Azalea-assisted track “Pretty Girls.”

The super catchy new single made its debut on Monday, May 4, after weeks of hype. The pop icon, 33, first teased the collaboration months ago, upping the ante in April when the two stars were spotted filming a deliciously ’80s-inspired music video.

Early cuts of “Pretty Girls” leaked over the weekend, preceding the official Monday release, inspiring Azalea, 24, to make a now-rare appearance on Twitter to reach out to fans.

“Hi guys its iggy here :-)… I happened to have noticed that pretty girls, my song with @britneyspears has leaked and is on some radio stations etc.,” she tweeted. “I’m really really happy to see so many people loving it but i also just want to clarify its not an “early” release its a leak and if you can, we would really appreciate everyone holding out until monday to share links etc if possible (i know its hard, I’m excited too!).”

The excitement continued with the official release as fans got the chance to hear Azalea’s rhymes and her trademark bouncy beats behind Spears’ famous vocals. The two open “Pretty Girls” together, crooning, “All around the world, pretty girls / Wipe the floor with all the boys / Pour the drinks, bring the noise / We’re just so pretty! / All around the world, pretty girls / Jump the line, to the front / Do what we like, get what we want / We’re just so pretty!”

The hot new single is expected to lead Spears’ next studio album. The Grammy winner’s last release, Britney Jean, hit stores in November 2013, and she has been spending the months since leading a residency in Las Vegas. Spears, who is hyped to drop the “Pretty Girls” music video in the coming weeks, gushed to Extra in March about her recording partner.

“I saw her song on TV and I was like a kid in a candy store, I was like, I love Iggy, I love that video, I want to work with her,” she said of the Australian rapper. “It was really weird, because a week after that her manager was like, ‘She’s a huge fan of yours.’ I was like, ‘Let’s do something together,’ so it worked out.”

Take a listen to “Pretty Girls” above, and catch the two performers onstage together at the Billboard Music Awards on May 17.
