Bruce Willis to Die Hard Yet Again—and the Title Is…

At this point, it’s safe to say that John McClane is one cursed dude.

But his seemingly endless string of bad days is plenty good for Bruce Willis‘ bank account.

E! News has confirmed the 56-year-old thesp will reprise his most famous role as the indefatigable New York cop John McClane in a fifth installment, this time doing battle with some Russian baddies.

And what will this latest installment be called?

A Good Day to Die Hard.

According to 20th Century Fox, this time around, the hard-luck detective will team up with his grown-up son as they find themselves in the midst of an international conspiracy that would make Vladimir Putin‘s head explode.

“Since the first Die Hard in 1988, John McClane has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing, making him enemy number one for terrorists the world over,” the studio said in a statement.

“Now, McClane faces his greatest challenge ever, this time on an international stage, when his estranged son Jack is caught up in the daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader, and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy.”

Jack briefly popped up in the first film as a four-year-old boy and was mentioned, but not seen, in the fourth chapter, 2007’s Live Free or Die Hard, during a scene with McClane and his estranged daughter Lucy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead).

A Good Day to Die Hard, which is being directed by John Moore (Max Payne) and as far as we knownot in 3D, starts shooting in January in Russia and rumbles into theaters in 2013.
