Maci Bookout of “Teen Mom” suffered a serious car crash with Bentley, her 6-year-old son, in the backseat this weekend. What made the frightening automobile accident even more harrowing is the fact that the TV star is in fact pregnant again with her second child. Fortunately, MSN News shares this Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, that both escaped the incident relatively unscathed.
While Maci may be moving on from her time as a “Teen Mom” star, the MTV figure was thrust back into the spotlight after being involved in a major vehicle crash yesterday. Pictures of the traumatic scene were soon taken by Bookout and shared with her thousands of fans via Instagram. It was only in Dec. of 2014 that her ex boyfriend and father of son Bentley, Ryan Edwards, was involved in yet another car accident.
Thankfully, while the images of the collision’s aftermath might be cause for concern, Maci, her 6-year-old boy, and her unborn child — yes, she is pregnant again — were relatively unhurt. They did get a couple of bad cuts and scrapes, but given how grave their injuries could have been, the young family is no doubt happy to simply be alive and well. The Hollywood Gossip notes that one of the shots shows her Jeep completely upside down, with a number of emergency vehicles on scene to offer assistance.
The “Teen Mom” star also sent a tweet out to Jeep in gratitude for their sturdy cars and safety equipment. Without them, Maci Bookout believes she might not even be here. “I’d also like to @JeepOfficial @Jeep because if our seatbelts and the roll cage had not done their job, I’m not sure my family and I would of had the same outcome … Thanks to everyone that stopped to help, that was huge. I pray everyone else involved is doing okay. #jeepwrangler #rolledthreetimes #terrifying #totaled #notmyfault.”
At this point in time, it is unknown what might have caused the serious car crash, or the exact circumstances surrounding the accident. Bookout was clear in writing that whatever happened while driving was not her “fault,” however. She and her present boyfriend, Taylor McKinney, confirmed last month that they are expecting a child together. It will be the first baby for the happy couple, and Bentley will no doubt be excited to be a big brother soon enough.
The pregnant “Teen Mom” star also received well wishes sent her way online. Shortly after the crash photos were uploaded to Twitter and Instagram, reality TV’s Jennelle Evans sent her a relieved message. “God bless you and your children! I’m glad you are ok!” This may be good karma Maci offered to her own ex-boyfriend when he had gotten in his own accident last month. “Thankfully Ryan is okay,” Bookout had posted after learning of the frightening news. Let us just hope that no more car debacles are in store for any of the cast in the near future.
