The Prince, who is the president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, has reportedly asked the organization to come up with some events.
A BAFTA insider told Britain’s Daily Mail, “We are suggesting several ideas, including a tea party, a cricket match and also a more formal gala evening to promote the British film industry.”
Meanwhile the paper reports that Victoria Beckham is apparently booking her caesarian section a few days before the royal visit to ensure she doesn’t miss out on any of the action. Elton John and hubby David Furnish have offered to throw a party to welcome the couple to Hollywood and ‘Forrest Gump’ producer Steve Tisch is rumored to also be throwing a bash for them.
The paper also says that the couple are expected to spend at least one night at the new Presidential bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Still being built, it’s a 5,500 sq foot bungalow that has three bedrooms, a private pool with underwater speakers, a waterfall and Jacuzzi.
The royal couple will also be visiting Canada for a week beforehand and will be making a special stop to the country’s smallest province — Prince Edward Island — the setting for the children’s classic, ‘Anne of Green Gables.’
The book was Kate’s favorite when she was growing up. The book has sold millions of copies and inspires thousands to make the trek to the picturesque setting.
A source told the paper, “The details of the Canadian tour are still being worked out but she requested that Prince Edward Island be on their itinerary so she could see the house and places mentioned in the book.”
