Coachella 2017 Tickets Sold Out in 3 Hours After Going Live

How much does the Beyhive love their queen? Apparently enough to sell out the 2017 edition of Coachella with Beyoncé as a headliner in just three hours.

Fans who will be attending the 99,000-capacity live music tentpole didn’t hesitate in paying the $399 general admission price, as LA Weekly reports.

Those heading to the Palm Springs desert come April 14-16 and 21-23 will also be able to catch sets from fellow headliners Kendrick Lamar and Radiohead, and — further down the roster— Lorde, Mac Miller, Banks, Raury, Gucci Mane, Mitski, Tory Lanez, Hinds, Lucky Blue Smith’s family band the Atomics, Tove Lo, Kiiara, and more. That is, when they’re not busy taking in all of the non-scheduled activities like Kendall and Kylie Jenner sightings, eating all of that street food, and a bevy of surprise guest appearances, which have historically ranged from Beyoncé herself to Kanye West, Jaden Smith, and Kesha.

As fast as three hours is for a music festival to sell out, it’s not exactly surprising. After all, Coachella is already one of the few that has such a strong demand, it unfolds over two weekends, set by set. (The Golden Voice event expanded to two weekends back in 2012 when Black Keys, Radiohead, and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg headlined.) Not to mention, two years ago the festival sold out in an unbelievable 40 minutes when Drake, Jack White and AC/DC headlined.

Coachella promoters are so sure of their success they expanded their live music empire to New York City with last year’s inaugural Panorama Festival, a rival of Governor’s Ball. That lineup has yet to be announced.
