Miami-based music presenters offer up the second installment of the 2015 concert series at the North Beach Band Shell
April 1st, 2015 – Community Arts and Culture in conjunction with Rock the Moon Productions are hosting the second A Day at the Beach Concert for their 2014-2015 season on Saturday, April 4th, 2015, beginning at 5 p.m. at the North Beach Bandshell (7275 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33141). The final installment of the series will feature the Grammy and Latin Grammy nominated band Palo!, Tomas Diaz y Su Orquesta, with the infectious smash hit “Suky,” and Nacional Records recording artists, ElasticBond. The show is open to all-ages, and ticket prices range from $10 during presale through Brown Paper Tickets and $20 at the door.
A Day at the Beach is an on-going concert series featuring some of the hottest national, regional and local acts, dedicated to fostering an appreciation and understanding of a vast assortment of musical genres. The series is wrapping up its third season with an assortment of musical showcases that highlight the vibrant and rich Latin community that makes South Florida so unique.
Palo is an Afro-Cuban funk band led by pianist and producer Steve Roistein, and also features Dr. Ed Calle, formerly of the Miami Sound Machine and a session ace in his own right, on tenor saxophone. Tomas Diaz y Su Orquesta is the solo project of Tomas Diaz, Spam All Stars‘ lead singer and percussionist. Elastic Bond, label mates to Manu Chao, Los Amigos Invisibles, and Bomba Estereo, and their tropical psychedelia will open the show.
