Heiress Daphne Guinness sold 102 of her designer duds, including pieces from Chanel and Alexander McQueen, to benefit the Isabella Blow Foundation in honor of her late fashion editor friend. Her fund-raising efforts paid off, as she raised approximately $7,437,822, breaking a world record.
One shopper includes Lady Gaga, though her purchases remain undisclosed. Guinness told The Telegraph, “I’m overwhelmed by how many bidders took part this evening and I’m particularly moved by Lady Gaga’s support for the Foundation. I like her very much, and it’s lovely to see the nascent beginnings of something that may help other people.”
