Disgruntled Fans Left In The Rain Heckle Beyonce

Beyonce was booed by fans waiting in the pouring rain at England’s V Festival over the weekend after the singer arrived 20 minutes late.

“Thank you all so much for waiting in the rain,” Beyonce said when she finally took the stage in Hylands Park in Chelmsford for her headlining performance Saturday. “Now let’s have some fun in the rain. It feels good doesn’t it?”

The singer’s tardiness irked many concertgoers, who later took to Twitter to vent.

This wasn’t Beyonce’s first unpleasant brush with fans. A few other recent encounters from her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour have made headlines.

During a May performance in Copenhagen, a fan slapped the 31-year-old singer on the butt. Beyonce continued with the show but scolded the fan, telling him, “I will have you escorted out right now, all right?”

The exchange was captured on a video posted to YouTube.

In July, a fan fainted after an extended embrace with Beyonce during a show in Nashville, Tenn.

During her song “Irreplaceable,” Beyonce appeared to give the male fan a high-five at first, but it turned into hand holding when the man refused to let go. He started shaking, and the star hugged him for a few seconds. Moments later he fainted.

Despite the slow start to her V Festival performance, Beyonce recovered and delivered a great show, a review in The Independent said.

“She has an innate talent with a crowd, an almost tribal ability to lead,” reviewer India Ross wrote. “Her every turn, glance, and flash of teeth only add to an aura of cool feminine domination. She is musically lukewarm, but theatrically unique.”
