Saturday Morning, outside a club in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district, a beloved transgender disc jockey was shot and killed.
30 year old Anthony Torres, aka Bubbles, a DJ, activist and artist was the victim of a hate crime.
Jim Reilly, Bubbles attorney says the gunman came out of the New Century Club, got into a altercation with him and shot him.
Detectives in San Francisco are investigating the homicide that occurred in the Larkin and Myrtle streets area. Bubbles was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead from suffering one gunshot.
The gunman is still yet to be found.
Bubbles friend Charlotte Kaufman says “Bubbles loved house music, Bubbles loved dancing, Bubbles loved making art, Bubbles loved all sorts of people.”
His friends and family are planning a going away party.
