Dolly Parton is known for her angelic voice and even more so, her kind nature.
During a recent visit to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt University, everyone’s favorite country singer made a special appearance — and then surprised everyone with an unexpected gift.
In the video below, posted on October 18, 2017, we see Dolly greeting some of the children, making time to meet each one personally.
In true Dolly fashion, she sits down with the kids and sings with them as cameras and parents watch the scene in awe.
Not only did Dolly lift spirits that day, she also found a way to give back to the hospital that made a huge impact in her own life.
Her close ties with the hospital traced back to when her niece was treated for leukemia there. After all the staff did for her family, Dolly pledged $1 million to the Children’s Hospital.
Thanks to the singer’s warm heart and massive donation, so many young patients and their families will get the treatment and care they need.
So, what do you think of Dolly’s special visit to the Children’s Hospital?
