Dwayne Johnson Angrily Tears Into His Male 'Fast 8' Co-Stars For Unprofessional Attitudes

He’s furious. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson slammed some of his male Fast 8 costars in an Instagram rant on Monday, August 8. While he didn’t name any names, the 44-year-old actor, who has starred as federal agent Luke Hobbs since the fifth film of the hit franchise, called out some of them for being unprofessional on set.

“This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one,” he captioned a clip of himself as Hobbs beating up a prison guard and easily tossing him aside.

He went on to praise the crew and thefemale stars in the ensemble cast, which includes Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Charlize Theron, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky and Helen Mirren. “An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em,” he wrote.

However, he vented about problems with his male counterparts. “My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t,” he continued. “The ones that don’t are too chicken s–t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling — you’re right.”

Fortunately, the rag works for his role. “Bottom line is it’ll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that’s embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part. Final week on FAST 8 and I’ll finish strong,” he wrote, adding the hashtag #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses.

Johnson’s male costars in the film include Vin Diesel, Scott Eastwood, Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris. None of them has responded yet to the former wrestler’s comments.

Fast 8 is scheduled to hit theaters in April 2017.
