Flavor Flav really needs to stop driving. The rapper was arrested Thursday in Las Vegas for allegedly driving under the influence and speeding, just the latest legal trouble he has encountered while behind the wheel.
The 56-year-old rapper was stopped near McCarran International Airport for going 73 mph in a 45 mph zone, a Nevada Highway Patrol spokesman told the Associated Press. He was arrested on six charges — all misdemeanors — including having a suspended driver’s license and registration, possessing less than an ounce of marijuana and having an open container of alcohol in his BMW.
Flavor Flav posted bail, according to online jail records.
Las Vegas attorney Kristina Wildeveld had no comment on her client’s Las Vegas arrest. But then, she’s a little busy handling his ongoing case in New York for — you guessed it — driving-related charges.
He has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of driving with a suspended license in that state after being stopped for speeding in January 2014. He faces up to four years in prison if convicted.
In March 2014, Flavor Flav pleaded guilty for threatening his longtime girlfriend’s son with a kitchen knife. He agreed to probation and counseling in that case, the AP reported.
