Francisca Valenzuela debuts new single "Prenderemos Fuego Al Cielo" 1

After acclaimed performances in Lollapalooza Chile and Lollapalooza Brazil, Chilean-American singer-songwriter Francisca Valenzuela releases her new single: “Prenderemos Fuego Al Cielo” (“We’ll Set the Sky on Fire”). The song is available today on iTunes and its lyric video premiered this morning on Francisca’s VEVO channel.

Prenderemos…” is an irresistible song full of swirling string arrangements, synth swells, piano and an uplifting melody. Its mystery, sensuality and beat will be effective on radios and dance floors alike! This first peek at Francisca’s next album is very promising indeed – a combination of her anthemic and direct lyrics with a 2.0, powerful and fresh production.

The song written and composed by Francisca, was recorded in Los Angeles, CA. It was produced by Grammy award winning producer Jesse Rogg (Banks, Sam Sparrow) and co-produced by the singer herself and Grammy and MTV Award winning producer Vicente Sanfuentes (Matías Aguayo, Los Amigos Invisibles, Sr. Coconut).

The credits behind “Prenderemos…” are completed by Matty Green (Juanes, Bastille, TV on the Radio and Frank Ocean), who did the mixing; and Steve Fallone, from Sterling Sound, in mastering.

“Prenderemos…” is part of Francisca’s third studio album which will be released in September. For this album, Francisca collaborated with four different producers – Dave Sitek (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, Foals, Santigold), Aureo Baqueiro (Natalia Lafourcade, Alex Syntek), as well as Jesse Rogg and Vicente Sanfuentes (previously mentioned).

The official video for “Prenderemos Fuego al Cielo” was shot in Arizona, USA, and will premiere on Francisca’s official VEVO Channel on July 22nd.
