Grab your friendly snowman companion, style your shiny princess hair and prepare to belt out Idina Menzel at uncomfortably loud levels, because Disney have just gone and dropped confirmation that we’re getting Frozen 2. Yaaas.
Just when you thought that the never-ending Frozen hype had started to die down ever so slightly amongst adults and kids alike, Disney Animation Studios took to Twitter on Tuesday to reveal the release date for the sequel.
It’s probably best not to rush to the cinema quite yet, as you’ll be waiting in your ice queen dress until November 27th 2019 – but still, HOORAY.
As well as Disney itself, the iconic cast of Frozen all tweeted their excitement at the news, too.
Kristen Bell delivered a “quick weather forecast from your favorite disney princess’ sister”, while Idina Menzel wrote: “It’s happening! All my Elsas say ho!”, and Josh Gadd aka Olaf confirmed: “Mark your calendars. FROZEN 2 is coming…”
While any details on the plot are strictly under wraps, the movie brains behind Frozen have previously revealed that they came up with the ending of Frozen 2 and worked backwards from it.

Frozen 2 isn’t the only big dose of Disney news, as the studios have also announced that the live action version of the Lion King is set to be released in cinemas on 19 July the same year.
Bring on yet another soundtrack that takes over the entire world. See you in two and a half years, lads.
