Had a chance to catch Gabriel Iglesias in action yet? 2.7 million Facebook fans already have. The hilarious Mexican-American comic has entertained audiences around the world and is now partnering with Ozomatli for a brand new Comedy Central series called Stand-Up Revolution.
Described as a weekly showcase for comedians, Stand-Up Revolution features live performances from “Fluffy” (as he likes to be called) and an array of standup superstars, many of whom are Latino. Ozo will be the show’s house band, mixing in jams between the standup sets.
But Revolution will go way beyond the jokes. The series will also feature interviews and tons of behind-the-scenes shenanigans via the Comedy Central website. Gabriel seems very excited about the big premiere, which happens this coming Thursday.
“5 days away from the premiere of my TV show Stand Up Revolutionon Comedy Central,” he tweeted (along with a very entertaining Twitpic).
