Much like Jimmy Kimmel noted in his exclusive announcement of another Dancing with the Stars contestant, it didn’t seem like a show about dancing with stars would be a long-lasting program. Ten years later, you have to admit that was not the case. The show has had legs and seems to just stick around, despite the level of talent that appears on the show and the competition that has joined it on the reality stage.
With that said, joining Bindi Irwin and Paula Deen on the dance floor will be Gary Busey. And becuase this is Gary Busey, he of course arrived dressed as a rhinestone cowboy while riding a horse to make his announcement. The DWTS folk may have found a hook for this season that matches “The Carlton.” Anything Gary Busey becomes involved with is automatically a must-watch, until he’s tossed off the show during the first elimination round. Then again, maybe Busey can survive based on threats alone, or he can pull out a performance that rivals his turn in The Buddy Holly Story or Surviving the Game.
