Artists enthralled with the worlds of Westeros and Essos in HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” get ready for your moment of glory. HBO has sent ravens out informing of a contest it’s launching later this month to give you the chance to have your creative works featured in a compendium set for publication in 2015.
There has already been tons of artwork based on the “Game of Thrones” universe, and HBO wants to prominently feature that work in its online hub. HBO has launched a site called the Game of Thrones Compendium, which will feature your “Game of Thrones” art, music, costume, food, crafts and comments for all to see. They have also assembled a panel of experts who will review all of the submissions and select a number of them to be included in the printed edition of the Compendium, which is scheduled for publication in December 2015.
Submissions will be accepted from December 19 of this year through March 28, 2015, and should reflect events that have occurred during the first four seasons of the HBO series. Submissions are limited to participants who are 18 years of age or older in the US, UK, Brazil and Canada, and you can find out much more information about the contest on the Compendium site.
So get to your studios, kitchens or computers post-haste and set to work on your compendium submissions. Because when you live and work in the lands of Westeros and Essos, you never know which day might be your last.
