Any YouTube fan is well aware of the “Harlem Shake.” The new viral dance craze has invaded the web and been featured on tons of national talk shows. And interestingly enough, reggaeton star Hector “El Father” claims he’s partially responsible for its inception.
Perhaps the most memorable part of the “Shake” song is the bouncy phrase “con los terroristas!” And by all accounts, it’s Hector’s voice screaming out the famous words.
So does that mean “El Father” is the father of the “Shake?” Presumably so, though we doubt he’s getting his fair share of credit. According to Latin Gossip, Hector’s line was lifted without permission.
“El Father” seems to have already taken action via his attorneys. Even though he’s retired from music and preaching for a living, Hector told the gossip site that his abogados are involved in making sure he gets his fair share of “Shake” credit.
