‘Hellboy’ Make-A-Wish: Ron Perlman Reprises Role For Charity

Ron Perlman is Hellboy once again, this time for Make-A-Wish. Perlman reprised the role — and donned the iconic red makeup — to help make the wish of a little boy come true.

According to Spectral Motion, the special effects company behind the “Hellboy” look, Perlman got all done up to help make Zachary’s wish come true. Zachary not only wanted to meet Hellboy, but become Hellboy as well. With the help of makeup artists, Zachary’s wishes came true.

Perlman starred in “Hellboy” and “Hellboy 2” on the big screen and according to Spectral Motion, “loved the idea” of reprising the role, makeup and all. The makeup process for the film took about four hours, “Hellboy” makeup artist Jake Garber said.

On their Facebook page, Spectral Motion said Perlman ordered a giant meal of burgers, shakes and fries, a la Hellboy.

Perlman, who currently stars in FX’s “Sons of Anarchy,” said he’d do “Hellboy 3” if director Guillermo del Toro was on board. “All you have to do is convince to Guillermo to say yes to making the movie,” he told io9 in 2011.
