If there is one thing that Kellan Lutz is familiar with, it’s love and war. Famous for his role as Emmett Cullen in the “Twilight” franchise, Lutz is taking that same mentality to his part as Hercules in the film “Hercules: The Legend Begins.”
“We didn’t want to make a movie that is just this brooding guy who’s just going from fight to fight, and just being violent and brutish,” director Renny Harlin (“Die Hard 2” and “The Long Kiss Goodnight”) said. “For us, the love story was very much the heart and key to his character and his story.”
The trailer previews Hercules being exiled after his love interest, Hebe (played by Gaia Weiss), is set to marry another man. The film chronicles much of his journey to return to his homeland and avenge his “loyal friends.”
“Hercules: The Legend Begins” is set to be released in March 2014.
