Hulu and Viacom Expand Content Partnership In Robust, New Multi-Year Agreement

Today, we are excited to announce a deal expansion with Viacom.

The deal grants Hulu the exclusive SVOD rights to popular & top-rated series including:

  • Emmy Award-winning comedy Inside Amy Schumer
  • Broad City
  • Faking It
  • Drunk History 
  • Finding Carter

It also tremendously expands Hulu’s offering of exclusive kids programming from Nickelodeon, and grants Hulu the exclusive streaming rights to kids series such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners, Rabbids Invasion and more for their series run. In addition, all episodes of nostalgic kids series Rugrats and Doug will become available to stream for the first time ever on Hulu.

All episodes are available to stream with a Hulu subscription for $7.99 per month with Limited commercials and $11.99 per month with no commercials.

Hulu Becomes Exclusive SVOD Home to Full Seasons of Popular Series Including
Inside Amy Schumer, Broad City, Finding Carter, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Sanjay and Craig

SANTA MONICA, CA (October 06, 2015) – Hulu and Viacom today announced a renewal and expansion of their content partnership that grants Hulu the exclusive subscription video on-demand rights to selected top-rated series from Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and MTV. The deal continues their existing relationship under which full episodes of late night shows including The Daily Show with Trevor Noah are available to stream on Hulu the day after airing on linear broadcast, and current seasons of selected shows from Viacom’s media networks remain available to stream on delay after airing on linear broadcast. All Viacom series will be available to stream on Hulu with a subscription for $7.99 per month with limited commercials and $11.99 per month with no commercials.

Starting today, the multi-year agreement makes Hulu the exclusive SVOD home to past seasons and future seasons of certain popular titles from Comedy Central including Emmy® Award-winning comedy series Inside Amy Schumer, Broad City, Drunk History and Key & Peele, as well as MTV hits Faking It and Finding Carter. Additional seasons of Workaholics, Awkward and Catfish: The TV Show are also now available to stream on Hulu.

The deal also expands Hulu’s offering of exclusive kids programming from Nickelodeon. Full past seasons of Nickelodeon programming that have never been available on Hulu and are now exclusive to the service include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Rabbids Invasion, Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners, Bella and the Bulldogs, and The Thundermans. In addition, all episodes of nostalgic kids series Doug and Rugrats, as well as T.U.F.F. Puppy, and Planet Sheen, will become available to stream for the first time ever on Hulu. These join Nickelodeon library series including Ren & Stimpy, The Wild Thornberrys, Drake & Josh, Hey Arnold!, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Danny Phantom and others, which will remain on Hulu.

Selected current seasons of select series from MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, TV Land, Spike, and Logo will also continue to stream on Hulu, joined by a robust selection of past seasons from favorites such as Chappelle’s Show, Kroll Show, Review, Tosh.0, RuPaul’s Drag Race, 16 & Pregnant, Daria, Jersey Shore, Ridiculousness, Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2, The Real World, The Hills, Ink Master, Hot in Cleveland, Basketball Wives, Basketball Wives LA, Love & Hip Hop and Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, among others, which will remain available to stream on Hulu as part of the renewal.

Programming from Viacom’s network brands joins all episodes of Comedy Central’s hit animated series South Park, which Hulu acquired the SVOD rights to in a previous deal with South Park Studios. Hulu also recently added an offering of blockbuster films and new titles from Paramount, Lionsgate and MGM in a deal with EPIX.

Over the past year, Hulu has significantly expanded its offering of exclusive programming, including all episodes of FOX’s breakout hit series EmpireSeinfeld, CSI, Brooklyn Nine NineThe Mindy Project, The Goldbergs, The Last Man On Earth and more.
