Ah…babies, they grow up so fast don’t they? It seems little Blue Ivy Carter was just born yesterday… oh wait, that’s because she was literally just born a month ago. You would think having a child would slow Beyoncé down but it appears to be having the opposite effect on the diva.
It seems Beyoncé is not working on one but on TWO new projects to be written and recorded later this year. This news was confirmed by Ryan Tedder, frontman for OneRepublic and co-writer of Beyoncé’s past hits such as “Halo” and “I Was Here.”
The singer/ songwriter revealed to The BoomBox at the Grammy Awards last Sunday that he and other producers are creating raw material for the mega superstar who will have the choice to complete it in the studio. Tedder says,
“The conversations about her next album literally just started and there [are] two projects happening. All I can say is, you kind of feed her the best that you have and she’s this phenomenal filter and she takes it all in.”
Tedder did not go into what exactly these projects entail (c’mon, you can’t say Beyoncé is working on two projects and not tell us what it is!) but he did mention that the songs he is submitting are about motherhood. Looks like Tedder and producers have their job cut out for them because they also stated that Mrs. Carter is not interested in chasing current pop trends,
“She’s not interested in 2012, she’s in what’s [going to sound good for] 2013.”
It’s very likely that one of the two projects she plans to work on is for the soundtrack to Clint Eastwood’s upcoming remake of A Star Is Born, which features the diva.
So far it sounds like Blue Ivy is going to have a very interesting childhood. I can’t wait to see what Beyoncé has in store for us next!
