TV’s most watched comedy is getting some guest stars from a galaxy far, far away.

During Sunday’s Golden Globes red carpet event, Bill Prady and Steve Molaro, executive producers of CBS‘s The Big Bang Theory, revealed to TVLine that they’ve booked James Earl Jones (the voice of Darth Vader) and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) for guest appearances — as themselves — on an upcoming episode, where they will “cross paths” with Sheldon.

TVLine points out that neither James Earl Jones nor Carrie Fisher are strangers to sitcoms. Jones played himself in an episode of Two and a Half Men, while Fisher played a washed-up comedy show writer on 30 Rock and voices Peter Griffin’s supervisor, Angela, on Family Guy.

You talk to Sheldon.”

Though Big Bang Theory is the most popular comedy on television, it has proved divisive among self-proclaimed geeks.
