Joe Budden Makes 2nd Diss Track Targeting Drake In 2 Weeks

Joe Budden isn’t letting Drake off easy! After firing shots at the Toronto native on “Making a Murderer Pt. 1” last week, Budden is back again with another diss track called “Wake.” This one is also produced by araabMUZIK, but finds the rapper being more concise than the previous diss.

The song’s artwork is also noteworthy, as its aggressive Toronto Blue Jays baseball theme is a nod to Drake’s own artwork from the Blue Jays’ 1993 World Series for the Meek Mill-targeted “Back to Back.”

The eerie piano-laden production anchors Budden’s targeted references to Drake’s “Summer Sixteen,” IYRTITL‘s “Know Yourself,” his beef with Meek Mill, Drake shying away from beef with other rappers like Pusha T and these two fire emoji-worthy lines: “Stealing all of PARTY’s album / To go and put it on your party album” (in reference to OVO Sound’s PartyNextDoor) and “Say he Canadian, maybe Asian, Croatian / Be sounding like his Jamaican friends, depend on what state he in.” Ouch!
