John Travolta's Original Masseur Accuser Drops Sexual Assault Case

John Travolta's Masseur

Well, that’s one down.

Things are finally starting to go John  Travolta‘s way, as E! News has confirmed that John Doe No. 1, the floodgateopening anonymous masseur who alleged that the actor sexually assaulted him, has officially moved to dismiss his  case against the movie star.

Why the change of heart?

There’s no explanation so far, though E! News has obtained the notice of  dismissal, which was filed today in U.S. District Court.

The accuser set off a firestorm of headlines and subsequent accusers, but  drew criticism early on both for his extremely graphic filing and for  contradicting his story.

While the man’s graphic accusations stated that his alleged assault at the  hands of the actor took place on Jan. 16, his credibility seemed to be a lost  cause not long after, when he released a personal statement admitting that he  might’ve gotten the dates confused in his legal filing and that the alleged  incident might not have taken place at the time he stated.

Meanwhile, it’s not all clear skies ahead for Travolta: Though attorney  Okorie Okorocha has dismissed the original accuser as a client, the filing makes  no mention of the second John Doe, a masseur from Atlanta whom Okorocha  will presumably continue to represent in his case.

He is seeking $2 million for the actor’s alleged inappropriate behavior  during a similar massage session. For his part, Travolta’s attorney, Marty  Singer, has vehemently denied the accusations.
