Joss Stone Robbery-Murder Plot Suspects Appear in Court

Two men charged with plotting to rob and commit grievous bodily harm against British singer Joss Stone appeared in court Thursday in Exeter, England.

Junior Bradshaw, 30, and Kevin Liverpool, 33, both from Manchester, spoke only to confirm their names during the short hearing and were remanded in custody until their trial date, which is set for next month.
The men were arrested on Monday in Cullompton, a village believed to be near Stone’s home, after vigilant neighbors became suspicious of their behavior.

Police allegedly found a samurai sword, balaclavas, knives, a hammer, gloves and documents, including maps and notes referring to the 24-year-old singer and her property in Bradshaw and Liverpool’s car.

The men, who were refused bail due to the serious nature of the case, will appear at Exeter Crown Court on July 1.

Stone responded to news of the suspects’ arrest on Wednesday, saying in a statement, “I’d like to thank everyone for their concern but I’m absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal while the police continue with their inquiries.”
